Solution for Restaurant Chains and Group of Hotels (with multiple properties or branches in different locations)
EGS CALCMENU Web 2008
CALCMENU Web is based on our famous desktop application, CALCMENU. It has evolved into a standard, "off-the-shelf" Web application that can be configured to serve most foodservice companies' needs. This is ideal for companies that have multiple branches or companies that are located in different countries. It only requires an Internet browser to provide efficient recipe and menu management. With its multi-site, multi-language (depending on the license agreement), multi-currency, multi-set of price, etc., it allows large organizations to manage recipes accurately and professionally.
CALCMENU Web offers an affordable, stable, reliable and scalable solution for the foodservice industry. CALCMENU Web can easily accommodate interfacing with other applications, as well as customization. You have the option to host it yourself, or EGS can host and maintain it fully for you.

Options to Use
EGS CALCMENU Web (Company Server) - You can purchase a license for our software and therefore take care of the "hosting" of this application.
EGS CALCMENU Web Service (Hosted by EGS) - You do not have to purchase a license of our software but you can just avail it through our server and pay yearly for the service only. We will take care of providing you with the latest version, maintaining the server up to date, backing-up your data daily, etc.
Recipe Management - CALCMENU Web provides a variety of functions that aid in recipe management. Recipes added to a site are only visible from that site. We call them "site recipes". Users from a site can submit the "site recipes" to the "director". Once approved, the site recipes can become system recipes. "System recipes" can be viewed by any user in any site. By default, a newly created recipe is considered as "private" or exclusive to the site where it was created. However, if the user decides to "expose" a recipe, other users in other sites can find that recipe and view it.
Menu Management - CALCMENU Web provides a variety of functions that aid in Menu management. Menus can be shared with other site's users in the same manner as merchandise.
Sales - The Sales feature allows each Site to create Sales Items. Sales information can be imported automatically in the system from sales files created by your Point of Sales (POS) system. Importation can be scheduled at your convenience, either daily, weekly, monthly, at a specified time, or whenever a new sales file is being created. Sales information can include dates, time, terminal number, selling price, discount, etc.
Purchasing Set of Price Management - Multiple purchasing sets of price can be created (no limit). Each purchasing set of price is defined by a name and a currency. Typically, each site can work with a distinct purchasing set of price. It is also possible to have several purchasing sets of price for each site with different currencies. This is useful for companies that maintain a centralized recipe database but has different merchandise costs for each of their branches because purchases are done locally.
Selling Set of Price Management - Selling Set of Price is the price assigned to food products being sold. Users can create multiple selling sets of price. Each selling set of price is defined by a name and a currency. Each site can work with a selling set of price and could also have several selling sets of price with different values and currencies. This is a convenient tool for companies that have branches or outlets in different locations since food products may have several selling sets of price depending on the place, region, or country you are selling them.
Menu Engineering - The Menu Engineering feature of CALCMENU Web makes it easy for you to do this analysis on a regular basis, because all you have to do is input variables such as demand quantity, desired selling price, etc. and it will automatically compute your contribution margin, gross profit, etc. Menu engineering allows you to evaluate current and future recipe pricing and design. Analyze menus and individual menu items to achieve optimum profit. Use Menu Engineering to identify which menu items to retain or drop from your menu.

But, it has limitation on functionality and filter on the information you want to make available. This is called "kiosk" interface.
